Where do you see yourself in 5 years [closed]

Hi,

I am a fresher and given many interviews but got rejected by many. Every time this question comes up that "where do you see yourself in 5 years"? "Right now I am focused in my initial career, I have no future goals. But will figure it out once I get into my domain". I guess they did not like my explanation. Can anyone please help me out with the answer, how can frame it?

closed with the note: deals with a very trivial concern.

The safest answer could be "My goal right now is to find a position at a company where I can grow and take on new challenges over time. Ultimately, I’d like to assume more management responsibilities and get involved in product strategy. But most importantly, I want to work for an organization where I can build a career.”

Hope this helps!

Hey,

Mostly interviewer asks this questions to check your career goals. Hiring a new employee is costly, so he or she wants to be sure that you are coming on board for a long time or not. The interviewer will also get to know how realistic you are with your career prospects.

You can answer like this, " I see myself having grown both with regard to expertise in my field as well as with the company. I picture myself in a leadership role, contributing more to the growth of the organization". Also, you can add " I see my growth in my own skills and capabilities". Its a good way to convey your opinion.

You can answer them that " I would be a confident and hardworking person and achieved my goal of having a successful career.

I would contribute my best to the company, clients, team members, and my family. "

Talk about your positive points like your career, your goal or dream job and the hard work you would do in the future.

But don't make it look like you are trying to sell yourself.

All the best!
