Intel Galileo Yocto - Insufficient Space Error

I have an Intel Galileo Gen 2 board running yocto(iot-devkit-1.5-i586-galileo). I wanted to install a new node library with npm, but the npm returns an error saying I do not have sufficient space on my system. Now, doing the same has worked just fine before and there's sufficient space on my 8GB SD card as yocto only takes up 1.3GB of space.

On running npm install geoip-lite, here's the error I get:

Yocto doesn't create bigger rootfs until specified and that's for a good reason. Say, if you were using a 2GB SD card, you'd definitely be annoyed if the image was 4GB for no apparent reason. So, try using IMAGE_ROOTFS_EXTRA_SPACE = "1048576" in your image recipe for setting the free space amount you want in Kb. Also, please give the IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE documentation a good read.
