Connecting to windows VM instance on GCP

I am an amateur GCP learner and while exploring the compute engine, I have created a Windows VM instance but I am stuck with how to connect to my VM. Can somebody help?

You can connect to Windows instances by using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in the Google Cloud Platform Console or through a graphical user interface.

Here's how you can connect using RDP.

Before you connect, make sure you have created a Windows instance password and have it ready to enter in the following steps:

Using Chrome Remote Desktop:

Before you connect using the Chrome Remote Desktop, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:

• Your VM instance has a public IP address.

• Your firewall rules allow TCP ingress traffic from your client's public IP address to the instance by using port 3389.

To connect using the Chrome Remote Desktop, do the following:

1. Connect to the instance using either Chrome RDP for GCP or Remote Desktop (see other tabs for instructions).

2. On the VM, download and install Chrome

3. Download and install Chrome Remote Desktop.

4. Follow the instructions provided by the extension to set up the VM instance as a host.

5. Disconnect from the instance.

6. On the machine where you want to use Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to the VM instance, download and install Chrome Remote Desktop.

7. Make sure you are logged into Chrome using the same Google account that you used on the VM instance when installing Chrome Remote Desktop.

8. The VM instance should appear on your Remote devices list. Click on the device to connect to it.
