Hey @Suman, According to market you should go with Tableu as in ranking it is ranked 1st and SAS is ranked at 11th. The customer base for Tableu is more, while SAS is used by few big names. SAS is a stored procedure and Tableu is a drag and drop tool. Installation of tableu is easier. Tableu offers better visualization.

Over all you get a better future if you proceed with Tableau.

Hope it was helpful. All the best.

Between these two, i would suggest SAS. Because SAS is an analytics tool. However, Tableau is a visualization tool and won't do justice to the fact that you are trying to get into analytics stream.

But let me also tell you that Tableau is much more easier to learn, but unfortunately its just not in the stream, but a related stream (data visualization).

Again I am confused, as I am getting response on both .

I don't know any reporting tool also and no experience I. Analytics also.

I wanted to move into Analytics. I heard that SAS has less exposure compare to other Analytics tool like R n Python in future...

I need your valuable input on this. Kindly advice which is suitable  tool for mr if I want to jump into Analytics area.

If you have indeed made up your mind about Analytics, then you need to choose from either R/ Python/ SAS.

SAS is not the best option because its a paid tool. You can narrow down your choice between Python and R. But here again, R has been around forever and writing R code is not easy. Python is newer and a revelation.

If i were you, i would learn Python because its an all-in-one solution. Even people are adopting Python more these days because it is easier compared to R. Hope this helps :)

Hey! Choosing a Technology/Tool is a personal opinion and comfort based decision. I can understand that you need a proper answer (either Tableu or SAS). Well, different people have different opinions so they tell you to choose one over the other and you get no conclusion. As this is an opinion based thing, you have to ask yourself some questions:

  • What are you comfortable with?
  • What exactly do you want SAS or Tableu for?
  • How is the impression of these two in the market?
  • Pro and Cons of both and which pros/cons matters to you?

Then research on each question and find answers. By the time you do this, you will have a Conclusion.

Hello

I think it will be very much beneficial for you if you start your Career with SAS because as you told you don't have any knowledge about Data Analytic , SAS will be perfect platform through which you can start your Course on Data Analytic. Tabelu is also a good platform but as a fresher on Data Analytic but SAS will provide you more opportunity to learn Data Analytic. If you start with SAS it will be helpful when you start a job in a big company because it is best suited for larger companies with complex needs. It also provides the features of interactive Dashboard visual Data explore and it has multiple tools.

Tableau is cheaper than sas and offers way more features. I would go for Tableau.
yes it is true that SAS is expensive compared to Tableau. But SAS  provides the best features along with advance options.  Tableu works only on Statistics but SAS gives you the platform which works as a general approach towards Data Science.
