You should have a solid understanding of the logical, philosophical, and cognitive foundations of Artificial Intelligence research.
You should have a good overview of the main AI techniques and an in-depth understanding of how to apply these techniques in at least one of the areas within multi-agent systems, reasoning, or cognitive processing.

Prerequisites for artificial intelligence
Basically you need to understand the automation and how it is related to the computer science. Secondly knowledge of Basic Programming Languages like C, C++ and Java as they give a basic knowledge of writing and executing codes. After that you have some knowledge of mathematics like linear algebra ,statics, calculus,probability and matrices.
