When I was creating my Gen AI model with the help of Llama LLM then, there were things I kept in mind during development, and one of the main issues I handled was ambiguous prompts, so here I am providing those suggestions to you:
Be Specific: Clearly define what you want. Use precise language and detailed descriptions.
Example: Ask, "What are the key characteristics of Golden Retrievers?" instead of, "Tell me about dogs."
Limit Open-Endedness: Refrain from asking questions that are too broad. Focus on specific aspects or contexts.
Example: Ask, "What are the main causes of climate change?" instead of, "Explain climate change."
Use Structured Formats: Pose your questions in a structured format, like bullet points or a numbered list.
Example: "List three benefits of exercise: 1. Physical health 2. Mental well-being 3. Social interaction."
Provide Context: Provide background to the question that will orient the respondent to the proper response.
Example: "What are sustainable building practices in the context of urban development?"
Ask Follow-up Questions: If the initial response is not clear, make follow-up questions to clear the matter further.
Use all these strategies, and it will help generate more articulate prompts that the generative AI is very likely to respond to accurately and accordingly.
