ssh connect to host localhost port 22 Connection refused in Hadoop

Hi Guys,

I am new to Hadoop. I am installing Hadoop on the Windows system. But it is showing me the below error.

ssh -vvv localhost 
OpenSSH_5.5p1, OpenSSL 1.0.0e-fips 6 Sep 2011 
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config    
debug1: Applying options for * 
debug2: ssh_connect: needpriv 0 
debug1: Connecting to localhost [127.0.0.1] port 22. 
debug1: connect to address 127.0.0.1 port 22: Connection refused 
ssh: connect to host localhost port 22: Connection refused

How can I solve this error?

Hi@akhtar,

You need to uninstall SSH and reinstall it on your system. If you are using the Ubuntu system, then you can use the below commands.

$ sudo apt-get remove openssh-client openssh-server

• Reinstall SSH again with:

$ sudo apt-get install openssh-client openssh-server
