What is the difference between elasticity and scalability in Cloud Computing

I am working in the Cloud domain for a long time. But recently, I am confused between the Elasticity and Scalability terms. Can anyone explain me with simple words?

These two terms are sound similar. But they have different meanings in the Cloud domain. Cloud Elasticity is a tactical resource allocation operation. It provides the necessary resources required for the current task and handles varying loads for short periods.

Whereas Cloud Scalability is a strategic resource allocation operation. Scalability handles the increase and decrease of resources according to the system's workload demands.
