What are the things we should consider before reserving EC2 instances

Hi,

Its for preparing document to clients.  what are the things should i consider before reserving AWS EC2 instances? Just i will use this answer to my Procedure Section in Documents. Can any one help me?

First, it depends on the duration. It means how long you want to reserve. If you are planning for more than 1-2 years, then it will save money compared to on-demand. Also, you need to think about other factors like CPU, RAM, Harddisks. If the resources are more, then reserving will be a good idea.
