This is how you link a JS file in HTML

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

<script> - tag is used to define a client-side script, such as a JavaScript.

type - specify the type of the script

src - script file name and path
