How to create a group in Hadoop

I am new to Hadoop. I want to create a group in HDFS. How can I do that?

Hi@akhtar,

Generally, to create a group in the Linux system we use chgrp command. We can do the same in HDFS as well. This command is used to change the group of a file or a path.

$ hadoop fs -chgrp [-R] groupname
