Hi Guys,

I am trying to install Hadoop in my system. But it is showing the below error.

$ rpm -i hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64.rpm
        file /usr/bin from install of hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64
        file /usr/lib from install of hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64
        file /usr/lib64 from install of hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64
        file /usr/sbin from install of hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64

Hi@akhtar,

Your Hadoop rpm is conflicting with some folders as shown in the error. You need to install the Hadoop rmp forcefully as shown below.

$ rpm -i hadoop-1.2.1-1.x86_64.rpm --force
