Which metrics would you use in a Project Portfolio

The outcome should increase clarity across the whole organization of which projects are strategic, priority, importance, impact... there could be an endless list of parameters, but I would like to know something that has worked for you.

It is a given that the projects must be embedded within the organization's mission/vision.

These are the very organization & governance committee/stakeholder specific. The metrics which are meaningful to a public sector organization may not be relevant in a for-profit company.

ROI, realized benefits, cash flow impact, degree of strategic alignment, portfolio classification, level of risk, complexity are all examples of useful information when reviewing portfolio content.
