How to increase Logical Volume Size in Linux

I have one Logical Volume in my Linux system. Now I want to increase the size of this volume. How can I do that?

To increase the Logical Volume Size, the Linux system has one command named lvextend. This command helps to increase the size of the volume according to our needs. You can go through the below-given example.

[root@localhost ~]# lvextend --size +5G /dev/myvg/mylv
  Size of logical volume myvg/mylv changed from 50.00 GiB (12800 extents) to 55.00 GiB (14080 extents).
  Logical volume myvg/mylv successfully resized.
[root@localhost ~]# lvdisplay myvg/mylv
  --- Logical volume ---
  LV Path                /dev/myvg/mylv
  LV Name                mylv
  VG Name                myvg
  LV UUID                yEPJZN-5Ucq-sL2u-VEKU-Nlpt-iTMh-HrH2uf
