How to copy AMI from one region to another region in AWS

Hi Guys,

I have created one AMI in AWS. Now I want to transfer this AMI to another region. How can I do that?

Hi@akhtar,

To copy your AMI from one region to another region, you can follow the below-given steps.

  • Login to your AWS account.

  • Go to your EC2 dashboard.

  • Click on the AMI option.

  • Select your AMI and in Actions, you can find Copy AMI.

  • Select your destination region and click on create AMI.
