Error compute driver option required but not specified

Hi Guys,

I am trying to run nova-compute command, but it gives me the below error.

$ service openstack-nova-compute status 
openstack-nova-compute dead but pid file exists

And the log file contains the below error.

Error: compute driver option required but not specified.

Hi@akhtar,

I guess you didn't add compute_driver property. Add that property in nova conf file.

$ Open /etc/nova/nova.conf 

And set ‘compute_driver‘ property inside nova.conf file.
