How can I create one container in OpenStack

Hi everyone,

I am working in OpenStack cloud. I have one scenario where I want to put some software inside one container. For that OpenStack provides Swift service. But I don't know how to create container in OpenStack. Can anyone tell me how do I create one container?

In OpenStack, Swift provides container service. Follow the below given steps to create one container.

1. Log in to the dashboard.

2. Select the appropriate project from the drop down menu at the top left.

3. On the Project tab, open the Object Store tab and click Containers category.

4. Click Container.

5. In the Create Container dialog box, enter a name for the container, and then click Create.

You can see successfully created a container in your dashboard.
