i was trying to deploy my job on tomcat but it keeps showing me this error No wars found Deploy aborted

i've got this error while trying to deploy my job on tomcat 

i checked my JENKINS_HOME and my workspace i checked my sample.war file i also added a user in tomcat-users.xml : <user username="admin" password="admin" roles="manager-script"/>

the user that i have created was between <!--   <user>   -->

i didn't pay enough attention too see that it was a comment so i deleted them and it works now
