If I have numbers like 24.0000000, 0.2900 and 0.000, then I want output as 24, 0.29 and 0. How can we achieve this?

public static String fmt(double d) {

if(d == (long) d)

return String.format("%d",(long)d);

else

return String.format("%s",d);

 }
Call this method and pass the number to the method:
String ans=fmt(24.00000);
