Automatic updates for the application s underlying platform - AWS

I have an application which is built on a LAMP stack(using Elastic Beanstalk). My doubt is, how can I keep this underlying platform up-to-date?

I want the updates to be automated. Is it possible?

Elastic Beanstalk regularly releases the latest version of the underlying platform running the application. You can go for having your elastic beanstalk application running within a specifies maintenance window. Your infrastructure will be maintained by aws and the updates will be automated.
