function to sort elements in a list

I'm new to programming. Can anyone help me to create a function to sort elements in a list in R?

Using sort function.

sort(l,decreasing = T)

> l = list(1:5)
> sort(l[[1]])
[1] 1 2 3 4 5
> sort(l[[1]],decreasing = T)
[1] 5 4 3 2 1
