I have completed my M.tech in Computer Science this year only and want to become a computer scientist at ISRO. I always dreamt of becoming a scientist and be a part of research field. Can anyone suggest me what are the requirements to get a job there?

Hi Kamlesh, the basic qualification to become a computer scientist at ISRO is Bachelor's Degree in engineering like BE/B.Tech or equivalent. Apart from that, there's a written test conducted by ISRO, which you need to clear. After that, there will be a face-to-face interview which you would also need to clear in order to get there. Your GATE exam score also holds important points if you are going on your graduation basis.

ISRO prefers candidates from aerospace engineering domain, although it doesn’t mean that good minds from any other engineering stream don’t stand a chance. Their selection criteria is fundamentally based on your knowledge and skills. ISRO selection process is unbiased and doesn't give any preference to elite technical institutions.

Adding to the above answer, you should have a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA of 6.84 to appear for written exam. Also the age limit criteria is between 21-35 years. All the best!

You must be an Indian with a degree or recognition in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical/Civil domains.

Open positions incorporate Scientists, Technicians, Technical Assistants, Admin Officers, Purchase Officers, and so on relying upon qualification. There will be a test for each sort of post pursued by eligibility.

One can likewise get into ISRO by selecting into IIST complete the course and get assimilated."

All things considered, you needn't bother with a degree in software engineering to take a shot at their energizing tasks. In any case, you need enthusiasm and imperative aptitudes for the job.

It's extremely about needs and what you esteem most.

All the best!

You'll have to write an exam which consists of 80 questions, 240 marks. Once you clear the paper, you'll be called for an interview. You need to get 60% in the interview to clear it. Once you clear the interview, you're mostly in.

@Kamlesh,

1) Complete B.E./B.Tech from any other AICTE approved college in India. Give ICRB's exam, clear the interview and get into ISRO.

2) Join as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and if possible continue working as Scientist/Engineer.

3) Apply after completing your Ph.D.
