Is there any benefit of using Firefox Marionette instead of the previous of FirefoxDrivers?

The main advantage of using Marionette Gecko driver is, it works for Firefox 48 and above.

The legacy driver provided doesn't work for Firefox 48 or higher. The second, more important requirement is that all browser extensions must be signed by Mozilla before the browser allows them to load.

So, the primary benefit of using Marionette is it works with Firefox 48 and above.
