Configuring the Regions with the AWS CLI

While executing the AWS CLI, I would like to set a default Region instead of specifying the Region in the command again and again. How do I get around this?

Once the AWS CLI has been installed run the ‘aws configure’ command. You will be prompted for the keys first and then for the default AWS Region. The Region is stored in the .aws/config file in the user folder for both Windows and Linux. The same file can be modified manually also.
