What is the relationship between Hadoop and Database

Can I use RDBMS as a Native database for Hadoop?

I am not sure about the relationship between Hadoop and Database. What is HDFS and How is it used in Hadoop. Am confused by its NoSQL functionalities.

Please help me out with some clarity on this one.

HDFS is a high-level of Data storage and Data Manipulation Software which can provide various functionalities.

It works with MapReduce, A Java program designed to for providing Map and Reduce functionalities.

Hadoop software framework work is very well structured semi-structured and unstructured data. This also supports a variety of data formats in real-time such as XML,JSON, and text-based flat file formats.

RDBMS works efficiently when there is an entity-relationship flow that is defined perfectly and therefore, the database schema or structure can grow and unmanaged.
