Power of a number in Impala

Hi. I am using Impala and I want to find the power of a number. These numbers are in two different columns. I have filtered the column value based on some condition and have fetched the individual value. Now I want to find the power of the number. How can I do this?

Suppose you have fetched two values X and Y and you want to find the value of X to the power of Y, then you can use something like this:

select power(X,Y);

Output:

| power(X, Y)               |
+---------------------------+
| value of X to the power Y |
