How can I split the String with any whitespace character as delimiter

I am handling a string and I want to split the string into substrings considering whitespace as a delimiter, how can I do this?

myString=" Hello World";
myString.split("\\s+");

This should produce the strings "Hello" and "World" and omit the empty space between the [space] and the [tab].
