Improve Marks or learn Skills and extra language or tools

hi, I am studying in 3rd year B-Tech. I have placements 4 months from now. Should i increase my marks or skills? Which has more weightage?

There is no exact answer to your question. Because various comapanies have different ways of recruiting students or hiring employees.

Some of the companies take your marks as a criteria to judge you whereas some companies test you by your knowledge or skills.

It completely depends on the company and the interviewer/HR. So I would say its better to have good minimum marks and have minimal skills too.

It's not important to be 80 or 90 percentile always, but the thing is it is very to maintain a minimum percentile because many of the companies have criteria based. So, if you have less percentage, you might not be allowed to sit for those companies. But don't worry because knowledge never goes in vain, companies will be there who comes with no percentage criteria, they need only knowledge.

Marks is just a criteria to sit for company. Have a minimum of 75% so you can sit for 85% companies.

What decides your placements is your skills and your talent.

So, i would suggest to learn more skills and tools.
