What is difference between pig and Mapreduce

 I am new to Hadoop and started with the pig, but can someone explain the difference between Pig and Mapreduce?

• In MapReduce need to writ entire logic for operations like join, group, filter, sum, etc.
• In pig built-in functions are available.
• In MapReduce, the number of lines of codes required is too much.
• In pig 10 lines of pig Latin equals to 200 lines of Java.
• In MapReduce time for coding is high.
• In pig what time is taken to write code is much less than MapReduce.
