How to import Flat files in Hadoop using sqoop

Question

It is possible to import data between database and HDFS but is it possible to import Flat files in Hadoop?

Sqoop is a tool which we use to import and export data between traditional database and HDFS . We cannot import a Flat file into HDFS rather to move Flat files in and out of HDFS we do not need any tool.

To load a Flat file we can use a command:

copyFromLocal command or put command.
