Difference between IAM Users and IAM groups

pardon me! I've recently started studying AWS and have been confused between IAM Users and IAM groups. What is the difference between them?

It is pretty clear. An IAM user that has a set of permission is called an IAM user. Set of or collection of IAM users is called IAM groups. 

IAM users have permanent credentials to directly interact with AWS resources whereas, in the case of IAM groups, it gives management convenience to manage the same set of permissions to users.
