Sqoop overwrite a directory

I have a Hive table in Sqoop but made some mistake. I have made necessary changes now and want to update it in Sqoop. How can I overwrite the directory?

You can use the --hive-overwrite:

$ sqoop import --connect jdbc:mysql://localhost/dbname --username username -P --table tablename --hive-overwrite --target-dir '/path/to/dir/' -m 1
