Error using double map

Question

I am trying to implement and using the following code:

var day2=List(Monday,Tue,Wednesday,Thur)
var day21=day2.map(_.length)
var day22=day2.map(x=>(x,x.length))
var day222 = day22.map((x,y) =>(x,y*y))

But I am getting this error:

You have forgotten to mention the case parameter. Change this:

var day222 = day22.map((x,y) =>(x,y*y))

to this: 

var day222 = day22.map {case (x,y) =>(x,y*y)}
