Remove duplicate elements in a list

What is the quickest way to remove duplicate elements in a list?

Here is the code for this -

list(set((list_of_numbers)

For example,

>>> l = [1,1,1]
>>> l
[1, 1, 1]
>>> set(l)
{1}

Now, convert the set back to a list. The obtained list will contain no duplicate elements.
