How to ignore exception in Java

Question

How can I handle exception such that it gets ignored and doesn't break the flow of the program?

Can someone help?

You can use the normal try catch syntax.

In the catch block you can mention the exception and ignore keyword for that exception.

Here is the synatx.

try
{

    //your block of code

}
catch(Exception ignore)

{

    //print a message

}

There is no way to basically ignore a thrown exception. 

The best that you can do is to limit the standard you have to wrap the exception-throwing code in.

If you are on Java 8, you can use this:

public static void ignoringExc(RunnableExc r) {
  try { r.run(); } catch (Exception e) { }
}

@FunctionalInterface public interface RunnableExc { void run() throws Exception; }

Then, and implying static imports, your code becomes

ignoringExc(() -> test.setSomething1(0));
ignoringExc(() -> test.setSomething2(0));
