Does a Security Software Developer just develop projects for a security company or is there something else he/she does?

A security developer is responsible to build applications/softwares to protect and provide security from virus/malware/spyware. He also embeds security features in existing projects. Apart from these, some of the responsibilities are:

• Software design, implementation and testing
• Develop a company-wide software security strategy for better security
• Conduct meetings and collect client requirements
• Creating new software systems or forensic tools to be implemented
• Contribute to the Development of software systems
• Oversee that program have no logical design and technical implementation flaws
• Find ways that the system could be vulnerable in
• Test the implemented software
• Create and maintain documentation of the development and testing process

A Security Software Developer is a person who is mainly responsible for the Security aspects of an application. He should design and develop a System such that it is not vulnerable by anybody who is trying to hack it. Breaches, loop-holes should be eliminated in the designing and developing of the application and upgrading should be done whenever necessary.
