Not able to start stop hadoop daemons

0 votes

Hi, I am not able to start/stop the hadoop daemons. Currently, I have below list of daemons running:

3871 Jps
1853 NodeManager
1734 DataNode
1797 ResourceManager

I tried to stop all daemons, but got below error:

$ sudo ./stop-all.sh
no org.apache.spark.deploy.worker.Worker to stop
no org.apache.spark.deploy.master.Master to stop

If you were able to start the daemons, you should also be able to stop them. Are you stopping the daemons as the same user that started them? Sometimes when you switch users, you get this error.
