Cloudtrail is a service provided by Amazon using which you can create logs, monitor, keep track of activites across the infrastructure. It creates a history if all the action that were done through AWS Console. This helps you in security analysis, the change that took place in resources being used and also helps you in troubleshoot process.

Hope this helps!
