Yes, it is possible to get a job as a Data Engineer as a fresher but you need more than just a degree. It is not possible to become a Data Engineer directly after college like becoming a Web Developer. To become a Data Engineer, you need to learn additional concepts and technologies related to Big Data (SQL, Hadoop, Programming languages like Python, Java and R, Database Architecture and many more). After this, you will have to get the Big Data Certification. And then you can get a job as a Big Data Engineer.

As a fresher you should not expect profiles like Big Data Engineer as early because for this profile you need to have a brief knowledge about what Big Data is ,what Hadoop is , how it works, Hadoop programming languages and many more things .  Learn more about Big Data and its applications from the DP 203 Certification.

It is possible to get into this profile if you have taken up any training or internships regarding the domain , but still if you mention the domain you want to go for make sure you know every details of this because you will get questions in the interview and if you sound good then you are good to go.
