Database with AWS Ealstic Beanstalk

How to connect a database to use with Elastic Beanstalk? Do i have to explicitly do it or is it done default by Beanstalk?

Elastic Beanstalk can automatically provision an Amazon RDS DB instance. The information about connectivity to the DB instance is exposed to your application by environment variables. You can always refer to AWS Elastic Beanstalk documentation to know more.
