How to create ssh public key that is required to create kubernetes cluster in AWS

I've trying to create a kubernetes cluster on aws. I've installed kops and kubectl and created a hosted zone and an s3 bucket. But when i execute the kops create cluster command, I end up with the following error:

SSH public key must be specified when running with AWS

Follow these steps:

cd .ssh
ssh-keygen

and you'll have your ssh public key!
