No such host error when executing kops validate cluster command

Question

I have created a cluster on AWS using kops, i tried checking the cluster status using the following command

kops validate cluster

I got the following error:

Using cluster from kubectl context: useast1.edureka.co
Validating cluster useast1.edureka.co
unexpected error during validation: unable to resolve Kubernetes cluster API URL dns: lookup api.useast1.edureka.co on 127.0.0.53:53: no such host

You get this error when the cluster hasn't been created, give some time, let the cluster be created and then check again.

If it still doesnt work, the easiest but not recommended solution is to delete or reset the cluster and make it again.

Well I faced the same error and solved it by this. I got this hack from stackoverflow. Also, I personally think it's not the best workaround(mentioned in the answer). If you have a better solution please do share.
