what do cyber security engineers do

I work on a cyber engineering team for a big (non-tech) business. When I look at the "ooo you may be interested in this" jobs on LinkedIn, I often find a small mismatch between what I do and what other companies are hiring for. So, I'd like to ask you, dear security Redditors: how would you describe "cybersecurity engineering"?
