asking about career advice

Hey, I completed my graduation in civil engineering batch 2015, since then i was preparing for govt. exams but unfortunately i didnt get selected. and even i tried to do some private firms but it was not worth at this place. so i am a graduate with no experience. now i am wondering what to do. is it feasible to enter in IT industry by upskilling myself. also i dont have any strong point to explain my career gap. i just want to do something better now.... plz guide me
