Updating Powerpoint - Excel Link in Different Computer

When I tried to edit a value in an excel file that was linked to a PowerPoint slide while working on a different computer, the data in the PowerPoint slide didn't update instantly. I received a notice informing me that I must manually update the links.

How then can the link between an excel file and a PowerPoint presentation be updated automatically or "in one effort" across several computers?

You could look at the Excel shape's to create your own. SourceFullname attribute of links. It will direct you to the place where PPT anticipates finding the file.

The file can be changed by moving it to the desired location. LinkFormatSourcefullname points to the updated file's full path. Relative paths won't work; they must be the complete path.
