Beginners book for NET and C

I want to do a project where I use.NET and C# to create a database-aware software with a front end.

This is my first time using this language. Is there anyone who can propose a decent resource?

It depends on how proficient you are with programming languages. There are lots of sources and tutorials on youtube and blogs, but I will suggest that you start from anywhere and keep experimenting and learning.
