Google Apps Script fetch data from private network vpn

Question

I attempted to connect Jira API for my application, however Jira is configured as a private network.

UrlFetchApp.fetch returns a DNS error.

How do I address this issue?

The curl command above would provide a decent idea of whether or not her authentication works via API.
curl -D- -u <email>:
<password> -X GET -H "Content-Type: application/json" "https://<xxxx>.jira.com/rest/api/2/dashboard"

Please activate Debugging in the "About" window, enter your "Temp. User Key," and then perform at least one more try for more understanding from my end (on the impacted users google sheet).
This manner, it will report any issues and information to my StackDriver logging account, where I can further evaluate it.
Any log data does not contain any user credentials.
